1pm: The East London Optimist's annual “Argyle Canada Day Party“ at the Argyle Arena kicks of with a special citizenship ceremony, followed by kids games, entertainment, a silent auction and more throughout the day. Bring your lawn chairs & blankets for the grand finale ***Fireworks at dusk***
4. Byron Optimist Sports Complex (London West) 651 Boler Road at Optimist Park Drive opens its gates once again this year at 6:30 p.m., parking is $5, cake is at 7 p.m., fireworks at dusk, other entertainment includes a live DJ, face-painting, clowns; donations encouraged; no pets or bicycles, please. On the 1st of July, 1867, Canada became a self-governing colony within the British Empire. We offer you the chance to relive the past and discover the events surrounding the first Dominion Day (now Canada Day). Historical debates, patriotic speeches, cake and lemonade and Vintage Base Ball are a few of the activities that will bring the past to life. - Native Dance workshop by Circle of Nations at 12:15 pm
- Flag Raising ceremony at 1:00 pm followed by Dominion Day Celebrations
- Country Serenade performing at 1:30 pm
- Vintage Base Ball Game between London Tecumsehs and London Area Dodgers at 1:00 pm.

6. Canada Day Street Party

- Outdoor cafe in support of local charity
- Music Hall Main Stage - featuring youth bands and multicultural entertainment
- Souvenir mini Canada Day flags for the first 2500 visitors
- Super-sized Canadian Flag cake (while supplies last)
- Busker stations

The Children's Museum is open from 10:00 am - 5:00 pm and admission is free today! Celebrate our nation's birthday with tons of special activities! Cookie decorating at 10:00 am (until supplies last), face painting and maple leaf tatoos, water rocket and glitter "fireworks", Canadian trivia, outdoor fun and more!
